Ah...the Sweet Smell of Democracy.
You'll have to trust me that i am
writing this entry in real time,
because i'll probably post it late.

16:13:37 That'll teach me to get
up early in the morning only to
wait in line in the afternoon.
That is, for the first time in more
than a decade, it took me an Hour
to Vote. Well, to tell the truth, it
only took me the usual minute;
it took me 59 minutes to get to
the machine. I am encouraged
that so many youngsters came out
from the local college to participate
for the first time. Such cute little
boys and girls! And so well dressed!
I also stood on line with two older
SuperVoters...a football coach from
the same college with a hip-brace,
and a petite trench-coated woman
from the old folks' apartments. My
friends, the poll workers, were doing
the usual admirable job in the crunch
they were not expecting. G bless 'em,
they only have to keep working until
10 PM or so. [counting all those votes]
Australian ballot! Secret ballot!
Hey, bud~i would tell the Westerners
not to pay attention to what we did
here in the East...but they've never
listened to me before AND i won't post
this until tomorrow anyway. HA!
Maybe, just maybe, by next Tuesday
we'll know the results of the outcome.
{Peerless Optimism sans Lawyers^}
06:07:38 PM... Hane wakes up way late
and pulls the cripple card. Thanks to
my especial neighbors, Hane gets to
Vote way faster than me. I'll have to
remember to take an O2 tank & a walker
to my next Election. I am so jaded and
ironic. Walk by miracle! Ahead of 50
college students! {Such a line i won't
see next year.} Age & rank privelegius.

PREDICTIONS:
1) Smarty Jones will win 66% of races.
2) the Boston Red Sox will somehow beat
the Yankees.
3) Islamists will turn the American election
to their advantage.
4) Lawyers will profit, resolutely.
5) Blogs/Glows may have an Impact.

The line at my polling place was mercifally quick. Only 20 minutes. I came prepared with 2 hours of Hornsby concert in my purse AND a magazine...but tow tracks did the trick. Sun=flower finds it difficult to glow about the outcome though.
i was proud of the youngins too slac...
it was a good experience - one they won't soon forget...
There was an Outcome??

After seeing thing's map, I'm itching to lay tracks to the foreign zone. It fully appears to me that, "God has left the country-building."

I'm convinced that an all knowing, higher power would have nothing to do with such a thing, 'regardless' of the fact that some extremists like me, would never consider voting.

"The next time they give you all that civic bullshit about voting, keep in mind that Hitler was elected in a full, free democratic election."
~George Carlin
At least you only voted ONCE. Being from Chicago, I had to ...
no wait, it was because my drivers license address & the actuality do not match. DOh!
Mental note: Never listen to my husband when he gives directions to where I am supposed to go vote.

Brian~thanks 4 the Carlin
[i think we killed Hitler eventually]
As 4 voting as often as possible OR
not listening to a husband...It's a
definite Plurality, Kayy
