That was a weekend.
Happy Happy Joy Joy to the Lizard,
a niece far less older than Myself.
Turkey & a new car, yet...
*
It took us all week to fill up
the roll=offs...sometimes in
twinkling darkness.
*
There is some post=election
engrungement of issues. But the
state=wide legislators round here
Opted out of pay raises on the eve
of a two month vacation. Now,
speaking as someone who gets an
unpaid long respite, i can almost
sympathise. Almost.
Meanwhile~there is a flat rate
on the toll road. So, while the going
is good, travel long & far to the ends
of the Weal=Common. [altho, for the
best gas prices, you'll still have to
drop into a local venue.] Roll on!
I am being satiric.
*
Honestly~i once made a fried cheese
sandwich that resembled the Last
Supper...but seeing that the Tomato
soop was simmering so good on that
summer day, it went the way of all
considered consumption. Curse the
Poverty i must now rue & regret!
*
My dremes are tuned in. Bizarre,
but tuned in. It's the Turkey i suspect.
[Experiment~eat breasts & legs for an
entire year and make note of the
ensuing hallucinations.] Don't forget
the gravy...it contains a mild form of
lysurgic acid dyethylamide. Or so
i've heard. On the web.
*
Where in the name of Elizabeth Shue
was i? OH! Yeah...the Slack is firmly
determined not to purchase any item
which depends on 1970's rock music for
its Boomer=trended advertisemente.
[they are too numerous to mention]
Moreover, shouldn't a generation be
outraged {any generation} that their most
precious cultural icons/moments are
subverted to commercial purposes?
Advise the slack who posits a cott=boy
of One. Cleverness aside, Don't we
already have a Museum in Cleveland?
/that's the first & possibly last time that
Clever*...Clevel* would be used in a
threaded sentence/

well, now, another way to look at the music recycling trend, if you are trying to find the bright side, is additional royalties or monies to the original bands, now old men raising children and trying to avoid anyone that remembers that era of debauchery that they were so firmly a part of ... or, they just sold out, WITH A BIG DELAY.
Oh, man, I CAN'T find a bright side to it, a good spin on it. I join your Cott-Boy.

Thereyago Kayy~
there ain't no excuse for the co=opting of
our "life sound=track". Now, we are two
of 20 million. Joiners?^
I join the cott=boy. I'm not sure about copyright law, but I think the songs go public domain after 30 years; thus, the co=opting of the sound track without royalties to the artistes. Does CSI mean a windfall for Daltry and Townsend? Certainly not Moon nor Entwhistle. (although no=one has used Fiddle About or Boris the Spider)
Cowboy can relax. I learned recently that copyright now protects for 60 years...so at least the rightful artist gets his due.
A cott=boy is appropriate. My husband is a master of mute and they must depend on visual excitement and closed captioning to sell us their wares. Perhaps it would work best to just cott-boy tv!! Let's keep our treasured tunes on the stereo, where they belong!
Cowboy: i got my copyright certificates & they last
a good long time---i'm too poor to sell out.
Sun=Flower! ~i am the fastest muter & demuter
on the East Coast...ask my nieces & nephews!
Thanks for Joining
It seems there are many similar to the folks at Rolling Stone Magazine who believe the music died after the 70s. I don't think we've seen the last of its commercialization.
Thanks for visiting me often, my dear Slac. I've been remiss in J land, having been obssessed with the whole election thingie. I've since licked my wounds. Glad to be back!
Muse: Welcome Back...yeh that
darn election thingy. So~you won't buy
that fone service that features THE CLASH?
holiday smooches
