Holiday Report

Title: alltogether all=over

Music: 70's rock, of gourse

Mood: contemplatif, hmm

Thot: "if i didn't have this

incredible up=dial, i would be

lost in a far more different way."

Twas ever thus...

*

Who is not surprised that i did

the puzzle perfekt? Never mind.

The farm report: it's been a bad

year for tomatoes, but all too

good for cucumbres & peppers.

And weeds like poison ivy...

[i add them all to my salad]

The bug report: bees are on

the down=slide, but there is an

effulgent propagation of---

Crickets, cicadae and Stink

bugs [my boof is full of 'em.]

Hane almost drowned a cricket

this morning...but we saved his

or her exoskeletal ass by mere

attention. It woke up on a

paper towel and i released it

unto my weedy garden. Then,

Hane nagged me to remove

the poison from the front

schteps... Which i did.

I am so not overcome with

Details! It behinds me much

but i nearly accomplish all that

is Required. There=after, much

might be futurifically remembered.

Such is the nature of action^

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

I know the difference between

Jean Louisa Kelly and Lolita

Davidovitch...and the subtlety

of Liza Snyder against Holly

Marie Combs. It is observable.

Would that i followed it more

closely than necessary...

Happy Columbus Day---if not

for him, we'd still be Europeans.

In very crowded cities. Two

items point to the veritable

end of the 80s: Afghanistan

held its own election [with

some irregularities]. They

have been at war @ least that

long. And, SUPERMAN has

passed on. Gone too soon~

Christopher Reeve has earned

his wings & can now fly for

real. Still, gone too soon.

*

It was an easy day at werk,

being a Yankee holiday.

[the roll=offs were not

emptied from Saturday.]

Cool & crisp but sunny,

i entertained a small and

loyal contingent of people.

But even if you include my

own two bags of crud,

there's not all that much

yardwerk left to do.

{OK~that's^ a lie. So

sue me.} Hereafter i must

bounce---there be a lotta

things on these Internets.

LOSS

I thot i would Bounce to all the good things,

which i usually do.

Today, i stumbled instead upon a sad story.

Go to scoops and console them.

TEST=ROAD

TITLE: a slick ride...

MOOD: slightly busy

NOISE: [hane tv]

*

The green machine got a full

road test today...and passed with

flying colours.

WE took Hane 2 the doctor and

he was altogether satisfied with

her progress. [Hane, not the car.]

WE dropped off the Matriarch

and continued on to the Widow's

lawn. Which itself was a pretty

easy gig. {i get paid to do her

grass & weeds; i werk on my own

yard sporadically And for the

pure satisfaction of it.} Then,

me and the ghost travelled well

and roundly to the bank, the

farmacy and other places.

SHE runs the good when the

going is important. [That would

be both Hane & the car.] And

gets almost 17 miles to the Gal.

* *

I have heard from the Germanic

contingent...Harry & my sister,

Kay. They just had a vacance

in Tuscany...sharing a Villa with

several friends. There may be

pictures in the future~and i am

only mildly envious of their

Adventure. [NB: for being all

the way across an ocean, they

sounded like they called from

a local fone. Amazing.]

* * *

The Engineer is werking out of

Philly...and holding his own as a

commuter. That is, we pine for

the days when He was employed

by a singular tech=company

rather than travelling to various

assignments on a per job basis.

Never mind~my brother fishes

for werk so much better than me.

AND under these conditions, he

has the option of turning down

schtuff in DANGEROUS locales.

[pick a point on the globe where

the infrastructure is tattered.]

* * * *

i am rambling...yet not as much

as my best & brightest friends.

{hello! especial Glowers! send

me schtuff} Date the Up as the

up2dates arrife...

merciful mentalities!

i be done lost my essential

demografic! 'at'll learn me

not to dip my toes in the

politicle headwaters.

[they is better pages]

- - - - - - - - - - - - -

There is gonna be an Elexn

this year, but from now the

on---i'll try to glance at the

race askance. With quiet

diffidence perhaps. OR

treating it like any other

schport. [Important only to

those who read the numbers

close.] Frivolity~~bah!

* * * * * * *

i lost another buddy today.

Rodney Dangerfield succumbed

to his health problems on the

cusp of his fourth career as

Elder statesman of American

comedy. He will finally get the

love & RESPECT he sorely sought

in arduous human existence.

[i picture him @ the pearlies

doing three hours of one=liners

for the Gathered ones...and

making Everybody laugh until

the gates open wide.]

Me? i'll just keep doing my best

impression of the man from

Caddyshack. One of my top ten

films of all time. "Do ya get a

bowl of soup with this hat? OH,

but on you it looks good."

- - - - - - - - - - - -

Read me & Exceed me...

The green=ghost takes me to werk

and back on these cool October

days. Cousin Kevin should be

state=side Today, out of the

restive sandbox. G bless his

service to this point and hoping

insurgents over there begin to

realise the futility of subverting

natural national Democracy.

Kindness will breed kindness if

they & we hold strong the ideal.

It can be hoped, all willing.

The Hellion from Halliburton,

VP Dick C.! [cheers & boos]

Boys, i want a good clean bout

with no Kennedy references and

no remarks about staying the

course. Ready? Break!

John: [i'm gonna kick yer ass...]

Dick: [bring it on hair=boy...]

Ref: first question--Tax cuts?

Dick: Got mine, float all boats

audience doesn't chant

Ref: ooo=kaay--how 'bout that

Soviet Union?

Dick: moving to Democracy,

your boss to stop playin' footsie

with a right=wing idealogue.

Dick: There ya go again~liberals

wanting it both ways. Socialist

bastard...

John: So--stop selling secrets

to those rifle-toting duckhunters

extreme tussle on stage as

the cameras bump to Adverts.

[Debate descends into chaos,

and Geraldo Rivera throws a

punch at William F. Buckley.]

---later, the next day...

Republican operatif: Dick, you

took some hits but the Shrub is

unstoppable.

Democratic operatif: John, he

stung you like a bee but we are

way too pretty to lose.

Contenders, soaking in isopropyl:

DISCLAIMER: None of the

aforementioned Real or Created

characters were harmed during the

fictional Re=creation of this

Opinion Piece. Pity that~it might

have been funnier alltogether.

*

It's true! I am lost on the

Event=Horizon of theoretical

physics! {Good thing i own a

time=machine.} The dynamite

prizes have already been handed

out---so, i'll have to wait in line

for the next run. Unless, of

gourse, the Supreme Court tells

me not to Rock the Boat.

[Rock the Vote?] Never mind~

slac is neither doctor/lawyer

until especial Advisement.

YET--always a cosmologist.

Title: The many Things

Mood: cloudy like a cloud

Music: my own...

Monday, October 04, 2004...

Do they have showers in the

There's going to be a Vice

Presidential debate?! It'll

probly be more fun than the

first Presidential one. Don't

something about it tomorro,

or maybe not. Ya never know.

*

No bride is an island...that

wedding in the middle of the

state was almost washed out.

At one point, the hotel where

evybody was staying was

surrounded by impassable

roads. Fortunately, on the

happy day~the waters

receded. It will be a day

the happy couple will remember.

*

Electoral college?? I barely

made it thru Electoral High

school! And i wasn't signed up

for shop even. [Humour]

*

I must thank the Capsizer in

this venue for sending many

pictures of my grand-nephews.

At the beach, no less.

{it's getting a little nippy now

to let them swim---but it is

well 2 note that this side of

the fambly has salt=water AND

chlorine in the blood.}

What did i do for fotoes before

my sister bot me this dingdang

dell? OH! Wait! I had more time

then to do lotsa schtuff unrelated

to the InterWeb! Blessing & a

Curse^ Good fotoes allto.

*

Yes, it's true~at werk i have

salvaged a coupla Dummy boox

from *gasp* the Nineties.

[DOS 4 Dummies & Windows95]

Makes me glad i waited to join
